How Investoredo handles your data
This policy explains what information Investoredo collects when you create an account or use the platform, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to investoredo.com and the Investoredo product, operated by Sahara Ventures.
Information we collect
When you sign up — with a password or with Google — we collect:
- Account basics: your name, email address and, if you sign in with Google, your profile photo.
- Profile details you choose to share: your role (professional, founder, mentor, investor or ecosystem partner), country and chapter, phone number, gender, profession, industry, skills, interests, experience, goals and what you're looking for or offering. Most of these fields are optional and only used to improve matching.
- Venture and due-diligence documents you upload if you submit a venture for assessment, stored in a private file bucket.
- Usage data such as connections you make, notifications and activity within the platform, needed to run the matching and messaging features.
How we use it
We use your information to:
- Match you with mentors, investors, opportunities and other members.
- Run AI-assisted venture readiness assessments when you request one.
- Operate core account features: sign-in, notifications, and your profile page.
- Keep the platform safe — for example, rate-limiting abuse and preventing account takeover.
Who can see your information
Other members can see the profile information you choose to make visible as part of matching. Contact details are only shared with another member after both sides accept a connection — we never expose your email or phone number without your consent.
Signing in with Google
If you choose "Continue with Google," Google shares your name, email address and profile photo with us so we can create your account. We don't receive your Google password, and we don't post to your Google account or access other Google services on your behalf.
Data storage and processing
Account and profile data is stored with our database provider. Uploaded documents are stored in a private cloud bucket accessible only to authorized reviewers. Venture assessments may be processed by third-party AI providers solely to generate your assessment — your documents are not used to train their models.
Your choices
- You can edit or remove most profile details at any time from your account.
- You can contact us to request a copy of your data or to have your account deleted.
